World Championships 2009 Seu Update 2.

Hi there,

I am now back in Bourg Saint Maurce chilling out with Mike and Louise. The Worlds were another amazing experience and I have to say I was really happy how it went. My result 39th doesn't reflect my actual performance which I personally think was really good. I paddled my best, was confident, and able to step up on a solid 2nd run.

Peter Kauser (Slovenia) won the race and well deserved it! with Boris Neuveu(France) in 2nd and Carles Juanmarti(Spain) in 3rd. Eoin was the only Irish to make it to the finals and finished up in 9th!

We also had team runs which didn't go as good as we had hoped, the touches we had put us out of the top ten to then go through finals.

I put up a video with my 2nd run and kausers quals run side by side like a double screen, just so that people can realise how tight things are. You need to imagine 39 people between kauser crossing the line and me, and this is only to get to semi-final and be in the top 20!

Here is the video you can also watch it in HD just have to click on the bottom right:

Here is the single run in first, then the double screen (available in HD also on Youtube.com):

Double Screen:

Mike, Lou and I will be heading to a canoe outdoor show in friday, and then will go to austria to Oetz to train for the sickline a bit, 1 or 2 days. We'll then head to Prague and might go to Moscow depends how hard you can get a visa, then back to Austria for the Adidas Sickline, check out there website www.adidas-sickline.com.

That's all for now might update this post with my video sometime.

Cheers,

Ciaran.
