In 2017 we went back to film in Pakistan and document Scott Lindgren’s 4th and final descent of the 4 rivers that flow out of Mount Kailash in Tibet, the last one being the Indus.
I ended up editing a 52min movie from it. But it turned out that there was a bigger story to tell than simply this descent. There was a story about someone reaching the highest of highs and lowest of lows throughout his life path. I didn’t take part in what followed but happy to see what the team at River Roots did and also putting kayaking on a platform like NETFLIX.
It’s more than just a kayak movie. It’s a movie about life and it has kayaking as a vessel to move through the sections of life. I’ll let you take away what you need to take from it. It definitely resonated with me deeply.
You can watch the movie on NETFLIX with this link: netflix.com/title/81457001
